Flying Blue Ultimate
Ultimate is not a new XP tier — it's a layer above Platinum. You must be Platinum AND have earned 900 UXP on AF or KLM flights in the same qualification year. Around 3,500 to 4,000 members worldwide.
Ultimate Status Benefits
9 miles per euro spent
The programme's maximum rate, vs 8 for Platinum and 4 for Explorer.
8 lounge guests
vs 1 guest at Gold/Platinum. You can bring your entire family into the SkyTeam lounge.
Ultimate Companion (Platinum card gifted)
Gift a Flying Blue Platinum card to a loved one — they enjoy all Platinum benefits.
Ultimate Assistant 24/7
Access to a dedicated personal assistant, available 24/7 by phone. Teams in AMS, CDG and regional cities.
+3 checked bags (23 kg)
The maximum baggage allowance in the Flying Blue programme.
Gate transfer (CDG)
Renault Rafale vehicle for tarmac boarding (bus gates) at CDG. Confirmed permanent benefit since November 2025.
Guaranteed soft landing to Platinum
If you don't requalify for Ultimate, you drop to Platinum (never directly to Gold).
Strategy to reach this status
The golden rule: 900 UXP ONLY on AF* or KL* numbered flights (not Delta codeshare, not Transavia, not SkyTeam partners). Check the flight number on your ticket.
Concrete example: 15 AMS-JFK round-trips in KLM Business (KL605/606) = 15 × 60 UXP = 900 UXP. You're also Platinum (900 XP >> 300 XP required).
With 1,800 UXP in the year: 900 UXP unlock Ultimate, the remaining 900 roll over → you start the next year already qualified Ultimate from day one.
SAF tip: if you're at 820 UXP in late November, SAF contributions on your AF/KL tickets can make up the missing 80 UXP at lower cost than an extra mileage run.
