Strategy to reach this status
To leave Explorer quickly: focus your flights on Air France and KLM rather than SkyTeam partners — XP are not earned on every carrier.
Target 100 XP to reach Silver: around 5 long-haul flights in standard Economy or 2 round-trips in long-haul Business class.
Open a Flying Blue account now, even if you don't fly often — miles earned today will serve you tomorrow.
Use partners to accumulate miles without flying — hotels, car rentals, shopping — even though these don't generate XP.
